Appearance: Every bit as tall and imposing as his father, Tobias stands just above six feet tall, with broad shoulders and a muscular build. With a short mop of curly black hair thanks to his mother, and green eyes from dear ol' dad, he has quite the serious appearance, thought that isn't always the case. Not commonly known, there is a scar along his right shoulder blade left over from his childhood, the result of trying to play with Grandpa Logan's sword.

Personality: Level-headed and easy-going are two of the easiest ways to describe him. Some might think him slow due to his large stature, but he is actually quite intelligent, preferring to let people just assume what they will. Possessing a strong sense of loyalty and a protective nature, a person has yet to be found who has felt betrayed, or unsafe in his presence. Although he comes from a somewhat noteable lineage, he is the last person to rub it in, and actually would prefer not to talk of it.
Likes: weight training, reading, chess, sci-fi movies
Dislikes: Egotistical people, rudeness, watching other people get hurt(such as in horror films), spinach

Powers: Capable of generating a rock-like armor around his body, as well as creating strong barriers to protect others.
Other Abilities: Learned the ins and outs of street fighting from his father and uncle, boxes recreationally, making him a rather efficient brawler.

History: Born into the Grimm family, to say that Tobias's childhood was an ordinary one would be a bold-faced lie. When your mother is Shadowdancer, your father Hardware, and uncle the ever-lovin' blue-eyed Thing, daily life was anything but dull. Concieved shortly after the marriage of the younger memebers of The Fantastics, Tobias spent the earlier years of his life inside the Baxter building, witnessing all sorts of things going on well beyond the scope of his tiny mind.

After about five years of this, it was decided by his parents that the boy needed a slightly more...normal upbringing, and the trio moved out of the Baxter and into a home of their own. Little Tobias was fine with this change, prefering the more understandable settings to those that resembled the cartoons he watched on Saturday mornings. During kindergarten early signs of his adult personality were already begining to surface, halting knee-scraping falls and other injury causing events with incredible speed.

Life became rather interesting quite suddenly when he was 9 years old, as he found he was to be a big brother at first, then a brother 3 times over several months after that. It became a source of amusement for Ethan and Rhianna, watching Tobias exert tremendous effort to ensure the safety of his unborn siblings. And while still adjusting to this change, almost overnight another occured, as Aunt Crystal suddenly and strangely left his cousin Lumina in his parents' care.

It became apparent after a few days that this was going to be an extended stay, and judging by the way his parents spoke, it was not one of convenience. It became his self-appointed job to keep the slightly-younger girl amused and happy as could be, although she was no dummy and was proabably aware of more than she let on. The house seemed to have some issues with its lights during the duration of her stay, it would be several years before he would understand the full extent of the situation.

It was not until he had turned 14 that life threw another interesting curveball his way. Like his father, he had become something of a roughhouser around the schoolyard, and as of late there had been complaints by those who succeeded in landing blows he himself barely felt. In one of the many afterschool brawls his mother chided him for, the odds quite suddenly turned against him, and he was facing a severe pummeling.

It was at this moment of immense stress and physical strain that his latent X-gene activated to its fullest potential, encasing his body in rock-like 'scales' to deflect his assailants blows. This sudden change startled both attackers and defender alike, sending them fleeing and Tobias running home in a panic.

Shortly thereafter, Tobias was pulled from public school and enrolled in an eastern coast academy. It would be hard to find its location, and even harder to get him to speak of the place, as it was destroyed several years after his graduation, during his time as an assistant atheletics coach. At but 22 years, the level of despair and loss set him quite literally adrift, wandering for many years.

His wanderings led him back home, and after fond reminiscings with loved ones he was informed that Lumina had become Headmistress of Sodalitas Academy. Taking this as a sign, he repacked his things and moved once again, wasting no time in integrating himself in his cousin's establishment, vowing to do all he could to ensure history did not repeat itself.
